The range-anxiety has a cure, at least in the UK where Zap-Map now covers and puts almost all electric vehicle charging points on an interactive map, for owners to know where’s the nearest one and if its compatible with their car.
With 2,539 locations comprising 6,181 charging points, the UK has one of the biggest EV charging station networks. Nearly 10,000 electric car owners can now see each one of them using the enhanced Zap-Map website.

The most important new feature of the site is a new interactive map where you can see and search for charging points near your location. Just enter the postal code or simply drag the little yellow stickman to the point you are located and the website will come up with the options.

And that’s not all; using the charging point search tools, you can sort results by location, charger speed and connector type. If you still don’t know which one to choose, a new option enables searching by EV model. This will show only charging points compatible with your car.

New or soon-to-be an EV owner? The site also provides practical buying guides, as well as all the electric technology explained in simple words for anyone to understand.

Zap-Map is said to be updated regularly and even users are allowed to point out if new charging locations are available as well as exchange their experience.
