As you’ll know from one of our latest Coverstories, Google Street View cars patrol the world to take you places you normally couldn’t go. This is usually done according to a fixed schedule, and you can see where the cars are going to be via the internet.
This has resulted in people dawning a leprechaun or dinosaur costume to show up in in for all the internet to see, but we’ve never heard of automotive trolling. Knowing that the Google Street View car was going to take photos outside Volkswagen’s Soderttalje headquarters for Sweden, Fiat sent little red number for the world to see - a 500 coupe.
Of course, this has an obvious air of overly funny Fiat employee rather than company policy, but it’s also very amusing marketing.
