Fiat to Launch Apps for Lancia, Alfa Romeo Services in Geneva

Keeping up with current trends in the digital world, Fiat Group Automobiles was the first European automotive group to have opened a new customer service channel, called “Ciao Fiat Mobile”, on an iPhone last December. Now the European automotive giant has announced it intends to launch two new ones for Lancia and Alfa Romeo customers called “Lancia Everywhere Mobile” and “Alfa Romeo Info Mobile” respectively, at the upcoming Geneva International Motor Show in March. The three applications are already available in Italy, offered free of charge on “App store” and include an extensive range of useful functions, mostly in Italian. Among the useful and entertaining features, we wold mention ‘Find your car’, which records the position of your parked car, making it easier to find it again thanks to instructions on the route to take to get to your vehicle. Meanwhile, ‘Find a dealer’ allows users to find their nearest Fiat, Lancia or Alfa Romeo dealer, while ‘Test drive’ allows you to book a test drive. The software for Alfa Romeo lets you discover the interiors of the Giulietta, thanks to an X-ray view of the car. A Fiat Group news section is also available, allowing you to be constantly up to date on all the news, as well as any promotions under way. If you require further details on the new Fiat application, the www.ciaofiatmobile.it site is available, while the ones for the other brands will be launched soon. autoevolution will be attending the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
