After premiering at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, the Fiat Panda K-Way is making haste to European dealerships, with deliveries now in full swing. A collaborative effort between the Turin-based automaker and clothing brand K-Way, this special edition Panda is a chic car that's also practical.
The "ideal choice for the metropolitan-minded customer" is something so Italian it doesn't even make sense, but fret not – the Fiat Panda K-Way is a sensible buy if you're in the market for city car. Based upon the third generation model, the K-Way can be had in 20 different (and funky) color combinations. If customization is important to you, this Fiat is one of the most colorful and fashion-focused buys available.
Other than the six bodywork colors (blue, white, black, red, yellow, and orange with contrasting side mirrors and hubcaps), the Fiat Panda K-Way's character is perceivable on the inside as wheel. Here you're offered with blue fabric and grey leatherette seats, as well as a blue dashboard and an UltraShine silver-painted instrument panel. Is it just me or this Fiat's high-visibility vests on the front seat backs are a bit of a pfaff?
Still, just look at the overall package. It goes without saying that the Fiat Panda K-Way is the manufacturer's most interesting offering this side of the Fiat 500. As standard, customers get a 6-speaker radio CD/MP3 audio system, electric front windows, a gear shift indicator and Start&Stop on TwinAir and MultiJet engines.
At launch, the K-Way-ified Panda offers a 69 HP 1.2-liter petrol engine and a 0.9-liter TwinAir with either 65 or 85 HP options, as well as a bi-fuel 0.9 TwinAir Methane 80 HP mill and a 69 HP 1.2 LPG-fed lump. Before long, a turbo diesel 1.3-liter MultiJet will be added for those customers that need more low-end torque.
