It's a time-honored tradition for Fiat to launch special edition models every time there's a major motor show. Why? So we don't forget they exist, look at the pretty pictures and consider visiting a local dealership where they give you a €2,000 push just to get rid of older models. Geneva 2015 will see the debut of the new Panda K-Way special edition, which as far as we can tell only brings a florescent yellow jacked as a new feature.
Launched in 2011, the 5-door mini car from Fiat has a special place in our heart because it's so practical for its size. They also introduced a Trekking offroad version in late 2012. The Geneva-bound special edition is built in partnership with apparel company K-Way and borrows some of their color schemes.
The Panda features mirrors and wheel caps that can be ordered in four different colors including blue, yellow, orange and titanium. Inside, you also have two-tone pleather seats in black and blue and silver accents. It also has blue floor mats.
Really Fiat, a blue and silver special edition? The only truly unique feature is that both seat backs are equipped with a “Visibag,” the high-visibility vest from K-Way.
Sales will start at end of April. The Panda K-Way will arrive in Fiat showrooms in Italy, followed in May by other European markets. In Geneva, the displayed vehicle will have blue livery with orange details and is equipped with the 0.9 Twin Air 85 HP engine. However, other small engines will be available, including a 1.2-liter that in LPG or petrol forms and the 1.3 Multijet diesel.
