The Panda was introduced in 1980 and now Fiat is launching a special edition to celebrate 30 years of production. Dubbed the Anniversary edition, the vehicle is based on the Panda Active 1.1 version.
The interior of the vehicles wears black jeans fabric, a feature that was previously offered only for one of the range toppers, the Panda 4x4 Glam. It also offers “liner” application for the center and rear pillars.
The Panda Anniversary edition has received three new exterior colors: White, Red (seen in the adjacent image) and Yellow Bold Optimistic.
The Fiat Panda Anniversary edition has the same price as the Active model, retailing for EUR9,950.
The 1.1 engine on the car, which is the entry level unit of the Panda range, offers 54 hp at 5,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 88 Nm (65 lb-ft). The powerplant allows the 915 kg vehicle to reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in 15 seconds and offers a top speed of 93.2 mpg (150 km/h), while emitting 135g of CO2/km and returning a combined cycle fuel consumption of 41.3mpg (5.7l/100km)
Since it was originally launched, the Panda has registered sales of over six million units, managing to reach an 18 percent share of the European supermini market last month. The vehicle is aimed at a wide range of customers, as it is available with both front wheel drive and all wheel drive and features gasoline, diesel, LPG and CNG powerplants.
