Fiat of Turkey Developing Four New Models

Aside from Europe, Fiat have been successful in other places of the world, most prominent of which is South America. However, their Factory in Bursa, Turkey which now makes, among other models, the highly-successful Linea sedan, will be the birth place for four new models.

While no real details were shared, the plant CEO, Kamil Barasan said that saloons and light commercial vehicles would be their primary directions for the upcoming models. Also, the company would delay the introduction of the Doblo light van to the US, until the beginning of 2014, despite officials having previously stated that they would begin US sales in the first quarter of 2013.

One of the sedans planned may should be a replacement for the outdated Fiat Albea, a Palio-based sedan which has been in production for 10 years at Bursa, and has been reasonably successful in developing markets, as a competitor for the Dacia Logan.
