The original Fiat cinquecento may have powered Italy after the War, but the vehicle seems to be back to serve a whole new purpose these days. Together with SMEG, the Italian carmaker is giving us the Cinquecento refrigerator.
Dubbed the SMEG 500, the refrigerator comes with a 100-liter capacity, has an operating noise of 42 dB and features that all-important A+ energy rating. It comes with two sliding doors, three bottle holders that can be removed, as well as shelf for cans.
The SMEG 500 can be ordered in the classic White, but those willing to add a touch of color can opt for Red or Green.
Alas, the Cinquecento-based refrigerator will set you back EUR5,500 ($), being the freshest item to be included in the Fiat 500 Design Collection.
