Italian automaker Fiat has announced that the 500 Cattiva model will arrive in US dealerships in fourth quarter 2013 with prices starting at $18,350, not including the $800 destination and handling fee. Unveiled as a concept car at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show back in January, the 500 Cattiva will be showcased as a production model at the Concorso Italiano in Monterey, California, later this week.
Based on either the 500 Sport or the 500 Turbo, the Cattiva will sport a number of “naughty yet cool” features, including blacked-out headlamps and taillights, gloss black roof, black aluminum 16-inch wheels, a matte black instrument panel, black and gray seats that can be optionally wrapped in leather, Argento accent stitching, and a sport steering wheel.
Under the hood, the 500 Sport-based Cattiva will be powered by the company’s 1.4-liter MultiAir engine (101 HP) that can be mated to either a five-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. The 500 Turbo-based version, which commands an extra $2,000, will deliver 135 HP via its track-proven C510 five-speed manual.
