Fiat has let slip a video trailer for the all-new 500X crossover ahead of its official debut at the Paris Motor Show next week. The clip has a certain American vibe about it, shot in the same stype that Chrysler does its promos.
Widely expected to debut at the upcoming Paris Motor Show, the 500X will go on sale towards te end of the year, priced from around €18,000. Engine choices will most likely include a 1.4-liter turbo and a 1.6-liter diesel, both with sevarl different output levels.
A six-speed manual will be the standard affair, backed by either Fiat's six-speed double clutch or one of the conventional autos from the Renegade (six-speed or nice-speed). Rumor has it the 500X will come in two flavors, Cross and Urban, much like the Skoda Yeti and VW Tiguan.
The 500X crossover actually has nothing to do with the city car, its platform being shared with thee recently launched Jeep Renegade. This will make it about the same size as some of the other European crossovers, like the Opel Mokka and Peugeot 2008.
Fiat hopes that the 500X and other new models like the replacement for the Bravo and a re-badged version of the Dodge Dart sedan will help them increase sales from 1.3 million units in 2013 to 1.9 million units in 2018.

Fiat's future growth plans will focus most of the models under the 500 and Panda nameplates, separating the practical from the emotional.
