Fiat has released the first photos and official information on the new 500L, the highly anticipated five-door version of the Cinquecento, which will be officially unveiled at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March.
The 500L will hit the European market in the last quarter of 2012 and will sit in the range alongside the three-door hatch, Abarth and cabrio versions. It’s supposed to have seating for five in a body that’s 4,140mm long, 1,780mm wide and 1,660mm high.
The engine range will consist of the 0.9-liter TwinAir and the 1.4-liter from the regular 500, plus the 1.3-liter turbodiesel MultiJet II.
Our take: It looks a lot like the Panda... too much in fact! The crossover looks we expected just aren't there.
