Compressed Natural Gas or CNG is very popular in Italy right now, due to the lower price of the fuel compared to regular petrol. Fiat has always been on top of it, with plenty of bi-fuel versions of small cars, but this time, we thing they've gone a little too far.
The new 500L Living is now available with a 0.9 TwinAir Turbo bi-fuel engine that produces just 80 hp. How much do you not want that in your life? At 80 hp, this is exactly half as powerful as the 500L offered in America.

The two-cylinder engien makes 80 hp at 5,500 rpm and maximum torque of 140 Nm at 2,500 rpm. Fiat say in this application, it only emits 105 g/km of CO2 and uses 3.9 kg of compressed natural gas per 100 km of combined city and motorway driving.

They're so proud of their 5+2 seater fuel saving van that they've set up a special booth at the 2013 Genova Festival of Science to showcase it.
