Americans might have received the Fiat 500 later than Europeans, but not only did the US customers get its bespoke versions of the car, they may also receive an exclusive, zero-emission one.
We are talking about the Fiat 500e EV, which is set to make its world premiere tomorrow at the 2012 Los Angeles International Auto Show, where it will join the US-spec 500c Abarth and the 500L five-door model.
Fiat's pre-release press info tell us that the 500e will be available next year in California and this is where the information stops. At the same time, Autonews writes that Olivier Francois, global chief creative officer for Fiat and Chrysler, explained that the vehicle won't be offered in Europe.
Fiat hasn't released the full specs of the 500e so far, but we can tell you that this will offer a range of about 100 miles (160 km) and should come with a price of about $35,000 (EUR27,058 at the current exchange rate).
