The most quintessential product ever produced by Riva is, hands down, the Aquarama. But have you ever wondered how it would be to combine the aesthetic qualities of the Riva Aquarama with a car?
Introducing the Fiat 500 Riva. Fiat dubs this car as “the smallest yacht in the world.” Technically speaking, Fiat is wrong. You see, this thing isn’t a yacht because it is not a vessel, nor is it motivated by wind or propeller. But we forgive Fiat for this for a very simple reason. Well, it's special, as in really, really special.

The elements that distinguish this thing from the run-of-the-mill Fiat 500 start with the Sera Blue paintwork. Inspired by the Riva catalog, the special edition model is offset by aquamarine coach lines.

The touch that wraps up the exterior makeover nicely comes in the form of unique 16-inch alloy wheels. Available as a hatchback or a convertible, the cabin of the limited-run model is decked in mahogany. The door sills, gear knob, and upper part of the steering wheel are also adorned with the reddish timber.

As if this wasn’t lavish enough for a car as small as this one, the Fiat 500 Riva also comes with ivory leather from Poltrona Frau and ivory stitching. Last, but certainly not least, the incredibly elegant double aquamarine line that runs along the beltline of this little runabout is carried over by the premium floor mats.

Now on sale at select dealerships across the Old Continent, there’s no pricing info available at the present moment for the Fiat 500 Riva. On the upside, I’m much obliged to tell you which powertrain options are available.

Starting from the 69 PS 1.2-liter, the limited-edition model can also be had with the 0.9-liter Twin Air (85 or 105 PS), as well as the 1.3-liter MultiJet turbo diesel (95 PS). Depending on the engine, the 2016 Fiat 500 Riva can be matched to a five- or six-speed stick shift or a Dualogic automated manual.
