Fiat 500 Coupe Zagato Elaborata by Scagliarini Motorsports

As the new Fiat 500 starts storming the US dealerships and the hotter Abarth 500 readies for its North American debut, the Colorado-based specialists at Scagliarini Motorsports have been commissioned building a special edition 500 dreamed up by famous design firm Zagato.

Dubbed 504cze (short for Coupe Zagato Elaborata), the car is based on the Abarth 500, with the ‘4’ standing for the number of driven wheels. The transmission comes, in fact, form a Fiat panda 4x4, which includes a locking differential.

Under the hood we find the Multiair 1.4-litre four-pot turbo, making 180 horsepower and which, as we are dealing with an AWD car, is coupled with a five-speed manual. Other mechanical upgrades
include Abarth 500 EsseEsse components, Brembo brakes, and a Ragazzon performance exhaust. In addition, Scagliarini have also opted for a Koni suspension, and 17-inch OZ wheels with Pirelli rubber.

Visually, the car comes finished in an electric shade of orange called Lamborghini Arancio, while featuring a more streamlined body and a rear three-quarter panel window delete. A roll cage and Abarth front seats in alcantara are also part of the upgrade. It may also feature a removable top.

“The Scagliarini 504cze is body, mind and spirit,” said Scagliarini Motorsports Managing Director Michael Salvarani. "In the space of 60-hours we created an elaboration steps ahead of anything imagined.”

"It's a tribute to Abarth co-Founder Guido Scagliarini, and we could not be more proud. Of course, our hats are off to Zagato for their design,"
he added.

The company says the commission came from a UAE buyer, who also owns the Scagliarini 500u, a limited edition FIAT 500 by Scagliarini Motorsports.
