Fiat 500 Abarth Venom Impresses Catrinel Menghia

The sexy Italian(ish) model of Romanian origin Catrinel Menghia has given Fiat a huge boost in the US market place. Her commercial for the 500 Abarth aired during the 2012 Super Bowl and has already racked up about 9 million views on Youtube, not mentioning those made by the copies that are out there.
Not forgetting what she’s done for the image of the brand, Chrysler Group’s Mopar division called on her to ‘review’ a brand new version of the hot supermini they had made with Italian parts supplier Magneti Marelli. We’re not sure Catrinel was really impressed with the the sound of the four-banger, but with that smile nobody is going to care.

The Fiat 500 Abarth Venom features a number of changes, both cosmetic and technical, the main features being a fresh carbon fiber hood and the 200 horsepower engine that hides under it. That’s quite a lot for a 1.4-liter engine, even if it’s got a turbo. The various mods also include a restyled front bumper, suspension and even track-only exhaust.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
