When Fiat set to conquer the US market with the 500, we placed our money on the Abarth version, which we also think will change American customers’ view on small cars.
So far, all we’ve received were pieces of online information, but the wait is almost over, as the US version of the Abarth 500 will make its debut at the upcoming LA Auto Show and we now have a pair of images of the vehicles.
The Euro-spec Abath 500 (you can read our review of the car here) offers 140 hp, or 160 hp in the Essesse version, but the US one will be different. How much different? We don’t know yet. However, we can tell you that it will be fitted with an all-new 1.4-liter MultiAir turbocharged four-cylinder engine, while its suspension, brakes and tech goodies will also be upgraded.
