A smart watch is different than a regular digital timepiece because it integrates some of the features of a smartphone. Many of these gadgets run mobile apps while a smaller number of models run a mobile operating system and function as portable media players. Ferrari likes lifestyle accessories, but they also like staying different, if not original. So instead of creating apps for their cars, they have a line of touch-screen timepieces.
The touch-screen technology joins forces with a wind deflecting style of Aerodynamics in the new digital Aero Touch line. As opposed to most of their watch collections that typically look further into the past, this family pays tribute to a ground-breaking Formula One innovation introduced by Ferrari in 1996, apparently.

It was the first time when digital gear shift indicators and other switches were positioned directly on the steering wheel. This helped the driver’s hand/arm movements while on the course, the Italian automaker claims. The dial of the new dual-time digital timekeeper features a large, easy-to-read LED display in white, blue, red or yellow that operates with the touch of a finger.

You swipe your finger to switch from the time to the date and back; that's pretty much what it does. Also, after several seconds of inactivity, the display will go dark to conserve battery life.

Aero Touch features a masculine 46mm stepped case crafted in stainless steel or black ion-plated steel, teamed with a red, white, blue or black silicone bezel and matching an integrated silicone strap. There are a Scudetto-shaped button/keeper and shield logo-engraved classing tongue buckle on the strap too.

Considering the money you pay for a new smartwatch, Ferrari’s "half-smartwatch" is a bargain, as you’ll get it for 216 bucks.
