This year’s Geneva Motor Show has brought us LaFerrari, but the supercar producer isn’t resting on the laurels of its creation. Instead, it seems that Ferrari is already working on a more extreme version of its range-topping hypercar.
LaFerrari’s chief designer, Flavio Manzoni, has recently told autocar about the company’s plans to come up with such a development in the future.
“When we were producing the original design proposals for LaFerrari,” said Manzoni, “there was one proposal that I thought was especially beautiful. So we decided to keep that one back for something truly special in the future.”
The most plausible version of the story is that the Prancing Horse will build a racing incarnation of the LaFerrari. This is what the company did with the LaFerrari’s predecessor, the Enzo, which received an FXX version.
At the moment, the information about the project is even more limited than the car itself will be. However, Ferrari could put the LaFerrari on a 250 kg diet to achieve a kerb weight of 1000 kg. The hint for this is the 2007 Ferrari Millechili concept (pictured above), which had this exact weight, as its Italian name suggests.
