Ferrari Will Not Race in 2010 Unless Conditions Will Be Met

Although Ferrari have been included by the FIA in the official entry list for the 2010 season “unconditionally”, the Italian Scuderia announced, a few minutes ago, that they will not take part in next year's Formula One Championship unless “the conditions of its entry are satisfied”.

Only 5 of the current 8 teams part of the Formula One Teams Association (FOTA) have receive provisional entries for 2010, with Red Bull Racing, Scuderia Toro Rosso and Ferrari being handed a different status because of their commercial agreements with the Formula One Management (FOM) and the FIA.

However, Ferrari insisted that they will not race in 2010 unless the conditions attached to its May 29th entry application will be met.

“Ferrari submitted on 29 May 2009 an entry to the 2010 FIA Formula One World Championship which is subject to certain conditions. As of today, these conditions have not been met,” said the Ferrari statement.

“Notwithstanding this and despite Ferrari's previous written notice to the FIA not to do so, the FIA has included Ferrari as a unconditional participant in next year's Formula One World Championship.”

“For the avoidance of any doubt, Ferrari reaffirms that it shall not take part in the 2010 FIA Formula One World Championship under the regulations adopted by the FIA in violation of Ferrari's rights under a written agreement with the FIA,” added the statement.
