Ferrari Vow to Strike Back Soon

As frustrating as the last couple of racing weekends were for Ferrari, the Scuderia is determined to turn their bad luck into wins as soon as possible, which is why they held a meeting earlier this week to analyze the facts after the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

Although the Ferrari F10 is clearly more competitive than it was in the first few races of the European season this year, Alonso scored only 19 points in the last 3 races, while Felipe Massa has now finished two consecutive times outside the points. Team boss Stefano Domenicali voiced his frustration during the Ferrari meeting, but avoided to point any fingers for the disappointing results lately.

We are angry that we did not get the results which we were capable of delivering, but this anger must be turned into a positive force. We must remain rational, we must not let ourselves be discouraged nor frustrated,” said Domenicali after the Silverstone weekend, which both Alonso and Massa finished outside the Top 10.

Even in the cold light of day, I don’t want to comment on certain incidents, because I do not want my words to be seen as some sort of excuse. We just have to knuckle down and continue with the development of the car, working calmly, with great concentration and determination. Then, the results will come,” added the Italian.

His comments were later echoed by Ferrari's president Luca di Montezemolo, who revealed his winning expectations for the second part of the season.

I expect everyone will give 100% to bring home points quickly to make up for those we have lost to date. All of us, myself, Domenicali, the engineers, mechanics and drivers, know what everyone, especially our fans expect,” said the Ferrari president.
