Earlier today, we talked about how Ferrari is celebrating its 70th road car-building birthday, which is set for 2017, with the help of the LaFerrari Aperta.
However, with only 200 cars being offered to the public (yep, they're already sold out), that cake isn't nearly large enough to reach all the willing Prancing Horse buyers out there. So Maranello is also using the Paris Motor Show to serve some extra dessert.
We're talking about 350 cars, the result of 5 special liveries that cover 70 cars each. This is Ferrari Tailor Made gone wild, people.
In our book, the best piece here is the Schumacher 488 GTB - it's nice when fans send their keep-fighting-Schumis towards the F1 legend (here's the latest update on his condition after the terrible skiing accident that left the champ in a coma back in 2013), but seeing Ferrari building a special for the pilot is on a whole new level.
This 488 Coupe is a nod to the F2003-GA F1 racecar that brought Ferrari a constructor's title back in 2003 (guess who was manhandling the F1 machine).
However, if we had to choose the wildest-looking of these machines, we'd go for the 488 Spieder Green Jewel. Featuring the livery of privateer crew British David Piper Racing team 365 P2, this Spider goes as far as using differently colored seats.
V12 aficionados are treated with the F12berlinetta Stirling, a tribute to the Stirling Moss-driven 250 GT Berlinetta SWB, which brought home the 1961 Tourist Trophy. For the record, the main shade on the grand tourer is called Blue Squado, being mixed with White graphics.
As for the Steve McQueen California T, this pays homage to the 1963 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso.
While you can check out Ferrari's special edition frenzy in the image gallery to your right, the Shmee150-provided clip below also gives us a good look at these jewels (you can jump to the 2:40 point if you want to skip the LaF Aperta and the GTC4Lusso T details).
