Dubai, the city born from the sand has some of the most amazing man-made creations the world has ever seen, like The World, a miniature archipelago of islands that from above look just like a map of the planet we live in. Dubai also has the tallest building in the world, and soon they will also boast the coolest police force.
After the Lamborghini Aventador we showed you last week, another amazing car is set to join Dubai Police fleets, a Ferrari. Lt Gen Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Dubai Police Chief, said on Monday that Dubai a special place that deserves such a car.

The yet unspecified Ferrari model is expected to cost somewhere around 2 million Emirati Dirham, or €417,000 ($544,000). We have not been able to find any photos of the car yet, but since the 599 GTB is one of the most popular supercar in the Emirates, the new patrol vehicle is probably the F12 Berlinetta.

Police Chief Lt Gen Dahi said Dubai is a magnificent and extravagant place. People's reactions to the Aventador have been overwhelmingly positive, which encouraged them to get another supercar.

You'd expect 700 hp supercars to be used in high-speed chances, but the Chief of police says that's not the case. “These sports cars will not be roaring and chasing speeding motorists,” he explained. “They will be used for roads security in different areas of Dubai,”

“Dubai Police are working on updating the police patrol cars to enhance security on the roads in accordance with highest international standards and technical developments,” said Lt Gen Dahi.
