Ferrari Releases GTC4Lusso T Commercial Where Rear Seats Get Used

Want to be the coolest daddy on the school run? (get your mind out of the gutter) Then ignore all the SUVs, even the Bentayga, and get the GTC4Lusso T. Not only are you going to be the only parent with a Ferrari, but you'll be able to enjoy slightly better fuel economy, thanks to the downsized turbo engine.

Ferrari videos have been getting a lot better since about the time the California T came out. The Italians have hired people who know how to steer the brand away from the unobtainable exoticism and into a bright limelight. It's almost like watching a commercial for the four-door version of the BMW 4 Series.

The GTC4Lusso T is an impressive package, one which makes a lot of sense in the modern age. I don't know if you've noticed this, but Ferrari is dominating the exotic car ownership experience with their warranty and servicing system. And now the GTC4Lusso arrives with four seats, a really cool cabin with Apple CarPlay support and that engine.

To make the turbo model, engineers dropped the 690 PS V12 for a 610 PS twin-T V8, similar to the one found in the 488. As a result, torque jumps from 697 Nm (514 lb-ft) to 760 Nm (560 lb-ft).

Many people are saying that this is the better car because it's about 100 lbs lighter, thanks to weird AWD system being ditched. While the initial goal of the FF was to offer all-weather shooting brake capabilities, many owners were using it as a daily driver around London or Monaco. And in any case, there's not much skiing going on in Europe at the moment, what with Global Warming and all that.

The commercial paints the picture of everyday usability, what with the school run or a bit of canyon carving after a meeting. We think they are clutching at straws with the Ferrari being used to go surfing, but at least we get to see a woman driving the car for a change.
