If you have "World Endurance Championship, Ferrari Le Mans and Corvette Racing Driver" written on your resume, you might get bored and turn to silly off-track shenanigans at times.
This is precisely what British pro driver Archie Hamilton has done, asking actress Emma Walsh to give him a shotgun ride in a supercar, all in the busy London traffic.
The vehicle of choice was obviously a Ferrari, namely the 488 GTB. As her fans know, Emma isn't exactly a stranger to the world of supercars, as she likes to get behind the wheel of go-fast machines from time to time.
Factor in the vicious 560 lb-ft (760 Nm) of the Ferrari 488 and you end up with a combination that might become scary at times. As we mentioned above, the two took a dive in the British capital city's traffic, with Archie pretending to be scared to death by his driver's behavior.
Sure, this was all a stunt aimed at drawing attention, but we have a feeling the helmet bearer experienced genuine fear on a few occasions. This wouldn't be the first case when a driver who knows his way around octane behemoths all too well loses the plot when somebody else is behind the wheel and shows generosity when it comes to the gas pedal.
And while Archie pretends Emma is his girlfriend for this clip, the time they spent with the 488 did lead to more serious couple business. We're talking about a marriage proposal she received while behind the wheel of the Prancing Horse.
You'll find this in the second clip below - if you're in a hurry, feel free to jump to the three-minute mark for the big moment.
Oh well, at least the guy proposing to Emma while riding a scooter and enjoying a cigarette was honest when it came to explaining himself.
