Ferrari might have confirmed that its first SUV will use the Purosangue nameplate, but we still have some waiting to do before we get to meet the Maranello high-rider, since the newcomer is expected to land by 2022. Now, the Internet doesn't like to be kept waiting, which is why we end up with renderings like the one that brought us here.
The pixel play aims to give us an idea of how a Ferrari crossover could look like, this helping us pass the time.

The render borrows the face of the SF90 Stradale (given the hybrid powertrain expectations for the Purosangue, this seems legit), the front apron of the Portofino, as well as the wheels of the 488 Pista. As for the overall line of the car, this comes from the Alfa Romeo Stelvio - the the way, the Stelvio Quadrifoglio still delivers the sportiest crossover driving experience on the market.

Speaking of the Purosangue, which can be transalted as "pure blood" and the SF90 Stradale (this adds the "street-going" particle to the name of the current Scuderia Ferrari F1 car, which is already a hybrid), it's clear that Maranello is making use of such nameplates to tell the world that its new-direction models remain true to the DNA of the brand.

Unlike the SF90 Stradale, though, the Purosangue might make use of the Italian automotive producer's V6-based hybrid powertrain(s), which are also rumored to serve a separated line of sportscars.

Returning to the SUV matter, there are two main possibilities for the Ferrari newcomer. The first, which seems more likely, involves a road-biased setup that will bring the machine into a road performance class of its own (among SUVs).

As for the second, this has to do with an actual all-terrain setup, such as the one involved by the Lamborghini Urus, which packs respectable rugged terrain abilities.
