Ferrari Owner Parks 355 Spider in His Living Room

We’ve seen what passion does to people, how they morph from regular individuals to fanatics, and we are not talking here about any stamp collectors, and the following story makes no exception. Let’s say you are Ferrari that’s so passionate about his new car that would do almost anything to keep it as close as possible. What would the perfect parking slot be?

Jon Ryder, 28, from Sheffield, England, has found a rather unusual answer to that question. Every time he gets back home, his yellow 1996 F355 Spider that he bought two years ago, is occupying a very special parking spot: Ryder’s living room.

The logistics are quite simple actually: A curtain camouflages the garage door, which is located at the end for the room. Take that, interior designers!
This way, he can chill on the sofa and watch TV, while also taking sneak peaks at “favorite piece of Italian art”.

It took Ryder about a month and some GBP900 (USD1,450) to perform this conversion, but the end result even managed to please his wife.

”When we decided to move house last year I instantly saw the potential to convert it,”
Ryder was quoted as saying by SWNS via Bornrich. ”The conversion took me about a month working singlehandedly (apart from the plastering) between my full-time job. I’m a tight Yorkshireman so I kept to a budget and did the work myself as I wasn’t sure how it would turn.”

”I furnished the room with items we’d not used after moving house – the TV cabinet was a towel box, the curtains and matching cushions came from our last living room,”
he continued. “My wife did keep reminding me, ‘it is just a garage’. She now admits it’s a very nice comfortable lounging room and garage!”
