We never imagined the Ferrari LaFerrari as a getaway car, but it seems like the driver of the Black example in the adjacent video might be training for just such an act. The footage shows a Nero LaFerrari sitting in a parking lot, idling as quiet as such a Prancing Horse can - the first reason for which it wouldn’t make a good car for robbing banks.
All of a sudden, the driver floors the 950 hp (make that 963 PS if you’re reading this in Europe) hybrid. The smart diff of the hypercar doesn’t exactly allow a burnout to take place, so what happens is more of a slippery take-of.
Still, the LaFerrari gets sideways just as its exits from the parking lot onto a public road, putting on a monster show - the second reason that would determine us to look elsewhere when choosing an escape vehicle.
Fortunately for the irresponsible driver, the road appears to be clear of both cars and pedestrians. This means that, aside from two or three people filming the silly stunt with their phones, there was nobody there to witness the move.
The guy catches the slide and vanishes away with a slip angle, while the V12’s roar filling the entire area. The powerslide continues up until the point where second gear is engaged.
Oh well, it looks like this guy really needs a track, but doesn’t know it. The low quality of the footage means that he would be difficult to track down by any authority willing to punish him, so we expect such adventures to continue. Who knows, perhaps he's pursuing a getaway driver career...
