Ferrari FXX Signed by Michael Schumacher Is Waiting for Bidders this Month

We're not going to be as obnoxious as to ask you whether you'd like to own this car - that would be plain evil. And also a bit stupid. Just like us, you'd probably even settle for a less special Ferrari model, one that hasn't been produced in a limited series of 30 units.

The car was first built in 2005, at a time when Ferrari was doing OK in Formula One and Michael Schumacher was one of their technical advisers. It is said he was actively involved in the car's development, and even though it could just be empty marketing talk, think about it: if you were in his place, wouldn't you have wanted to have something to do with this beast?

Only 30 of them were ever made, and the last one was offered as a gift to Schumacher, even though he committed the sacrilege of ordering it black. However, number 29, the one being auctioned, was as red as they come (OK, it's got a bit of white) and it was also signed by the great man himself. Just to make things clear, he didn't actually own it and never drove it publicly, so we're simply talking about a big support for Schuey's autograph. One that can do 0-62 mph (100 km/h) in 2.44 seconds.

Quick reminder about why the Ferrari FXX is such a great car: it's got a naturally aspirated 6.3-liter V12 engine (and we could stop here) developing 799 hp at 8,500 rpm and 506 lb-ft (686 Nm) at a "low" 5,750 rpm. Rear-wheel drive, carbon fiber all over and more Formula One imports than even the maddest doctor would prescribe. It was the ultimate track-weapon and, come to think of it, it might still be.

The car will be put under the hammer in Berlin through the Auctionata auction house on the 26th of September. The estimated value hangs around the 2,000,000 euros mark ($2,200,000), and the car is expected to reach this sum. Earlier this year, another Ferrari FXX was sold by RM Auctions for roughly $1.6 million, so given this one's unique feature, it should be able to fetch that price.

I won't end by inviting you to rob a bank, buy this car and hope to get to enjoy it for at least one minute before the police get you, even though that would make sense. No, there'll be none of that.
