Ferrari F8 Tributo Grows More Powerful, Lower and Faster with Novitec Tuning Kit

Most of the time, the cars made by Ferrari are powerful and fast enough right from the factory door as not to require any additional tweaking. Yet there are garages out there who like to play around with the Maranello toys, and the results are at time amazing.

German tuner Novitec is one of those garages. In the business of making high-performance tuning kits for some of the most expensive or rare cars made in the world, the tuner announced today the availability of a wide range of upgrade hardware for Ferrari’s F8 Tributo.

The group is far from finishing its work on the Italian car, as the “aerodynamic-enhancement kit currently is still under development,” but the engine upgrades and some other parts are ready, and they do seem to be making a difference.

As per Novitec, the addition of two control modules and a new mapping for the 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine fitted by the carmaker allows for a power boost of 67 hp and 112 Nm of torque. That should bring the total available for the car at 787 hp and 882 Nm of torque.

The increase of these numbers is instantly visible in the performance of the Prancing Horse machine. Novitec advertises an acceleration time to 62 mph (100 kph) of 2.7 seconds, and a top speed of 211 mph (340 kph).

Mechanically, the tuner has in mind fitting the car with sport springs that lower the height of the car by 35 mm, a front lift system, and an upgraded exhaust system. Visually, the new parts that are already available are 21-inch and 22-inch hi-tech forged wheels front and rear, wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires.

The long list of custom parts for the Ferrari F8 Tributo can be seen at this link. Each part can be purchased separately or as part of a larger package meant to upgrade the car.
