Ferrari F40-R Rendered: What's Even More Hardcore than an F40 LM?

When it comes to Ferrari, you have to triple-check before stating you own the spiciest version of a certain model. Let's take the F40 twin-turbo icon, for instance.
Those who wanted something extra and decided to engage in track activities had to go for the F40 LM - while Maranello didn't have official racing plans for its late 80s halo car, the machine's circuit career was inevitable.

Nevertheless, the F40 LM bows to the F40 Competizione - we're talking about ten units of the LM that were taken even further in terns of performance, out of which ten kept the LM name, while the remaining eight went with the Competizione tag.

Well, today we're here to give you another take on what happens when one wishes to one-up the Ferrari F40 LM. Meet the F40-R, a digitally imagined incarnation of the Rosso Corsa monster.

The pixel rearrangement above comes from British artist Khyzil Saleem, who completed the piece of art together with fellow artist Ash Thorp.

Here's Khyzil explaining how the pixel contraption we have here came to be: "The F40 is perfect as it is, so it was rather difficult to come up with something different that still stands by the traditional F40 look, we came up with the idea of a Super LM version, the F40-R. A wider, more aggressive version of the LM,"

Now that we've shown you this new-age Prancing Horse superlative, all that needs to happen is the kind of spark that determines a wealthy eccentric to build one of these. And, of course, follow the latest trends and make it a road-legal machine. Captain Fantasy report over.

P.S.: When one puts "eccentric" and "Ferrari F40" into the same sentence (in the real world, this time) the things that follow are downright amazing and here's an example for you.
