When you're out there camping, a Ferrari F40 is probably the last car you'd like to use. While the lack of storage space is more than obvious, the sheer turbo lag of the retired Maranello halo car would be enough to shuffle your luggage.
Well, there's one F40 owner who begs to differ. No, we're not talking about another shenanigan coming from Tax The Rich. Instead, we're dealing with a Japanese Prancing Horse driver who enjoys engaging in all sorts of unusual activities while behind the wheel of his twin-turbo Ferrari.
The story kicked off back in 2014, when we saw a few pictures of the man going camping in his Fezza. Well, we're about to get much more than that, since Red Bull Japan has recently documented the eccentric Ferrari owner's trips.
The gives-you-wings guys have shot a video that sees the F40 being used as a camping tool... in the winter. For now, we only get the trailer of the clip, which is aptly named "A Day in the Life," but fret not, the full hooning footage is scheduled to follow shortly.
Then again, this is the kind of contraption that's worth waiting for. It all starts at the nose of the beast, which has been gifted with a pair of rallying-style lights.
Moving on to the roof, we find a rack that's loaded with all sorts of items one would need during some time alone in the wilderness. However, the most exciting item is found at the rear axle, where the owner has installed snow chains - sure, the guy is playful, but you don't take a 471 hp Ferrari out in the snow on winter tires alone, especially when you're planning a long trip.
As we mentioned, there's not that much waiting to do until we get to see this F40 being thrown at Japan's snowy mountains - we'll have fresh goodies for you in 48 hours from now.
Update: The complete adventure has been released.
