The Ferrari F40 is the kind of car that knows how to bribe your guardian angel, so when you climb aboard one if these monsters and put your foot down, you'd better have one or two aces up your sleeve.
Apparently, an 80-year old businessman from Stuttgart, Germany, didn't, as he crashed an example of the F40 last week.
He was driving the supercar in his home country, close to the border with Switzerland, when he lost control and ended up hugging a tree. The vehicle had 10,000 km (62,000 miles) on its odometer and, as you can see from the adjacent images, which were published by suedkurier.de, was heavily damaged by the impact.
We really can't tell if this will be a total loss or not, but we hope that it will make it. Fortunately, the nobody was injured in the accident. Maybe the driver's ego was hurt, but this is another story...
