Ferrari F40 Badly Damaged by Red Light-Running Dodge Dart

Canada’s peaceful aura has recently been seriously disturbed, at least as far as automotive aficionados are concerned, with a Ferrari F40 being seriously damaged by a Dodge Dart running a red light.

The F40 was being driven by a mechanic, which was on his way back from a test drive. The Black Dart ignored the traffic light, causing quite some pain to the F40’s front end. Looks like this retro supercar will spend more time in the nursery than it was originally planned.

Of course, the good part here is that the turbocharged V8 at the middle of the car was unharmed in the unfortunate event.

It all took place in Ontario, an area where the F40 population sits at about 10 examples. Speaking of this, the Prancing Horse only built 1,315 units of the supercar between 1987 and 1992. Let’s just hope the crashed one we are talking about gets the attention it deserves. We are not referring to the repair part, which is obviously going to happen, but about the respect such a car demands from the other drivers.

The video below shows the aftermath of the accident and you can see the firefighters handling the oil spill on the road. The only positive side here is that nobody was injured in the crash.
