Italian automaker Ferrari has sold more than 7,000 vehicles in 2012, a lot of them being shipped over to Asia-Pacific countries. Thus, the Maranello company is hoping to further improve sales in the region, especially in Malaysia, a market that has surpassed Singapore or Thailand last year.
Recently launched in Malaysia, the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta is being imported in the country by Naza Italia Sdn Bhd, who has aims to sell between 30 and 35 units of the Italian supercar.
"We have already received bookings for 20 units before the model was unveiled today," Naza Group executive chairman Datuk Wira SM Faisal SM Nasibuddin said. "Last year, we were the best dealership in Asia-Pacific in terms of sales, after-sales, customer satisfaction and used car sales beating Singapore, Indonesia, Taipei and Thailand."
The Ferrari F12 Berlinetta is priced at RM3.3 million in Malaysia, which means about $1.07 million at current exchange rates. Ouch!
