Yes, we know that the 500C Abarth isn’t a new car in Europe, not by a long shot. But the little convertible will be making its US debut soon, at the Los Angeles International Auto Show at the end of the month.
In order to create some hype and anticipation for the model, Fiat USA released this teaser showing Scuderia Ferrari drivers Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa driving the little 500 Abarth Cabrio head to head on the track.
The two drivers are in the US right now for the 2012 American Grand Prix in Austin, Texas, and they were only too glad to go and have some fun in the open-top Abarths.
We don’t have the full information about the 500 Abarth Cabrio yet, but all that’s missing really is the price, which should be at least $2,500 more than the regular Abarth. Other than that, power will surely still come from a 1.4-liter turbo with 160 horsepower.
