Ferrari EGO Concept, a Supercar for the Year 2025

The EGO (Emotional Generation One) Concept was dreamed up as a compact sportscar focused on emotional content and driving experiences. The next generation Ferrari concept was pencilled by designers like Salvatore Simonetti, Massimiliano Pertachi, Vicenzo Morlino and Luca Zunino, who managed somehow to envision a morphed Ferrari in the near future.

The Ferrari EGO concept is being presented by Car Body Design as the light weight supercar for the year 2025, which aims at combining extreme performances and strong emotional content with the tradition and beauty of Ferraris. A large part of the concept was inspired by the “egg” which symbolizes a self-centered concept protected by a strong shell has a smooths shape and a protected inner core.

The shell, as in most racing cars, is a carbon composite. The exterior line is defined by a separation of volumes defined by ascending lines, which are inspired by Ferrari limited series models. The front end stands out with its proeminent hood, which gives the impression that it extends to embrace the windscreen. The back of the concept is practically dominated by the spoiler and the circular tail LED lights, which are highlighted by the dark carbon-fiber surfaces.

As it would be normal for a Ferrari the EGO concept also offers a number of active aerodynamic elements like spoilers, wings and active outlets that use the exhausted gas to increase the downforce thus allowing for a greater aerodynamic performance. The interior was equipped with futuristic bucket seats and exposed carbon fiber combined with aluminum elements.
