Located on a plateau in the Judean Mountains, Jerusalem is the one of the holiest places in the world for Christians, Judaists and the people supporting the religious principles of Islam. As surprising as this may sound, Jerusalem isn't just a religious melting pot.
With a metropolitan area population of around 1 million souls, Jerusalem is home to many artistic and cultural venues, many high tech companies and modern infrastructure landmarks such as the Jerusalem Chords Bridge. Speaking of modern things, Ferrari is also present in Israel, running a dealer in Tel Aviv, a city located 68 km from capital city Jerusalem.
As with any other country around the world, the majority of the population gets by with commonplace sedans and hatchbacks, while the better-off can afford to enjoy the magic offered by owning an exquisite Prancing Horse. Not the owner of this black-painted Ferrari 458 Italia though, as you can see for yourself in the three-photo gallery below.
According to CarBuzz, the driver of this 458 challenged a Range Rover for a race late at night on the streets of Jerusalem. The sketchy report is informing that the Italian exotica crashed into the British luxury SUV, then it crashed into a fence and a pillar for good measure.
The Ranger Rover allegedly fled the scene, as did the owner of the heavily damaged Ferrari 458 Italia.
The airbags are deployed, the front-left fascia is kaput and there's oil dripping on the asphalt, so yeah, these guys were doing triple-digit speeds (in km/h) when the unfortunate event happened.
So a 562 HP 4.5L V8 was too much to handle for the reckless driver. Therefore, the 488 GTB's 661 HP and 760 Nm (560 lb-ft) 3.9L twin-turbo V8 might be impossible to bridle for this butterfingered philistine.
