Benny CaiolaBenny Caiola's letter to Pagani
When you’re Pagani, there are enough reasons to keep up the good work, but an extra gratification to take the motivation even further can never do any harm. This is a story that takes us back to the year 2000, when a Ferrari collector sent Pagani a "thank you” letter.
The document, which is currently hanged on the Pagani factory wall, expresses a Zonda owner’s gratitude and yet it managed to do much more than that. The letter comes from Benny Caiola, a Ferrari collector known to many aficionados, who lets Horacio Pagani know that his creations are the brighter side that the Prancing Horse owner had never managed to find within his collection.

While you can see the letter in the gallery below, the poor quality of the pic has determined us to also give you the text here:

Dear Mr. Pagani
I have been fortunate enough during my lifetime to own some of the finest automobiles on the market. Being an avid collector of Ferrari I had often thought there couldn't be a finer or more exotic vehicle made. That was until I owned a Pagani. This car is the Michelangelo of the industry. I am truly honoured to own one.

I have enclosed a check for $1000.00. Please treat your mechanics to a fine dinner as a token of my appreciation for their spectacular workmanship. The Pagani is truly a work of art!
Sincerely, Mr. Benny Caiola

Sadly, Benny Caiola passed away back in 2010, but the marks of his noble character remain. The man had just as much of a sweet spot for philanthropy as he had for collecting cars. And we all know Benny had one of the most precious collection of Ferraris in the world, with a few Zondas and Lambos being added to the mix. The man emigrated from Italy to New York in his adolescence, but his big heart had apparently remained at home.

Even though we’re a bit late in finding this out (some 15 years), we’re glad Horacio receives such compliments. A man who changes the wiper blades of his customers and washes his own Zonda fully deserves it.
