Ferrari has to go deep into the land of Lamborghini for the 2011 Bologna Motor Show, so it’s packed the biggest gun it could find in the form of the updated 599XX Evolution, a real track monster like no other.
The updated model’s party piece is its Enzo-sourced engine that now makes 750-horses at 9,000 rpm with a peak torque of 700Nm (516.3 lb-ft). The car is also lighter, which should help withe handling.

The biggest improvements, however, is to the aerodynamic of the car, which now sports an active rear wing with two flaps that move to adjust downforce. This is done automatically by computers according to what sensors tell it to do and works in combination with the car’s stability controls.

The 599XX Evolution has lapped the Fiorano track in 1:15, which makes it the fastest car there by a long shot, and a total of 9 seconds faster than the GTO it’s based on or the Enzo.
