With a week or so left before the official unveiling of the Ferrari 599 GTO at the Beijing Auto Show (April 25), the Italian manufacturer has launched the online configurator for future costumers.
For the new model, Ferrari has prepared a very comprehensive list of options. Take colors, for instance: the carmaker is offering no less than 26 colors, including metallic, non-metallic and 1950s-1960s colors. The wide choice of colors can be paired with four different livery options: standard, racing, historical racing and bicolor.
The wheels can be configured in three different ways, with the colors of the callipers allowing for five customization options. Of course, there are many other options and configurations, which you can see by following this link.
As we already reported, the GTO is rumored to have a price tag of around $460.000. Unfortunately, the configurator does little to confirm that rumor, as it is, for now, ony a show-and-tell tool. Prices are expected to be made available at a later date.
The GTO is powered by a V12 engine which develops 661 hp (up from 620 in the GTB Fiorano) and 457 lb-ft of torque (compared to the GTB Fiorano’s 448.4). The car reaches 62 mph in 3.35 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 333km/h (208 mph).
The GTO comes equipped with a new front splitter, side sills, wheel diffusers, a double curve rear diffuser and rear spoiler. It is also fitted with a ventilated hood and a set of 20 inch rims that feature F1-inspired donuts for better aerodynamics.
The 599 GTO, the fastest car ever from the Prancing Horse, will only be available to 599 clients.
