Ferrari 599 Fiorano HGTE and 599XX Confirmed for Geneva

Not one, but two new Ferrari masterpieces will be introduced at the 2009 Geneva Auto Show by the Italian sports car manufacturer. Their stand at the show will witness the already rumored Handling GT Evoluzione (HGTE) package for the 599 Fiorano GTB, as well as the world debut of the 599XX, the so called "laboratorio tecnologico."

As we reported earlier this month, the HGTE package for the 599 is a "function and style" tweak of the usual Fiorano. The package brings a lighter carbon fiber cabin as well as visual upgrades. 599 Fiorano will also receive along with the package a new three-layer metallic Rosso paint for the body.

The Geneva show is also a good opportunity for the manufacturer to show off their 599XX "technological laboratory." As if Ferrari was not an exclusivist brand already, the company says this version of the 599 is aimed at a even more select group of customers, as it incorporates the latest technology the automakers posses. The only thing the Italians thought worthy of mentioning about the XX is that it comes in a color matching the F2008.

The Ferrari street cars which will be present at the show do not end with these two models. The company will also showcase its Scuderia Spider 16M, the 430 Scuderia, as well as two Grand Tourer models, the Ferrari California and the flagship 612 Scaglietti.

As the builder got its name thanks to the great racers it built over the years, the Geneva Show would not be as glamorous without some of the company's competition stars. The Scuderia will bring along the F2008, a car which brought Ferrari its 16th Constructors' World title, for all racing fans to admire.
