The Ferrari 599 is now in its final days of glory, with the vehicle set to be replaced by a new generation. However, it seems that the vehicle isn’t planning to go down without a fight.
Various sources such as Teamspeed and FerrariChat report that Ferrari is currently working on a final version of the car, which will be meaner than everything we’ve seen until now (excluding the 599XX race car, of course).
The vehicle could use the Ferrari 599 Fernando Alonso edition designation and, in order to pay a proper homage to the F1 driver, has to more agile, which means that the Prancing Horse will put the car on a diet. The car should be released in January next year, with production expected to stay below 40 units.
However, this might be nothing but speculation, with the fire being started by the F10 Tribute Edition, a customer tweaked that was recently driven by Alonso - you can see the action in the adjacent video.
