It's been almost 24 hours since we brought you an answer to a question nobody asked, so we're back at it. So, without further ado, here's the question: what happens if you're in a Ferrari 488 Spider and the wind-in-your-hair feeling is so pleasing that it makes you aim for even more fresh air?
Well, you could always open the side windows, or, if that doesn't cut it, try to jump the car. We're not sure about the airflow ibenefits of such a move, but the adrenaline rush you'll get by pulling it will certainly be enough to quench your adventure taste.

And while it might seem like we've taken the wrong pills today, the piece of footage at the bottom of the page shows what actually happens when a 488 Spider gets some serious air time.

Auto Express has pulled yet another one of their jumping stunts, with Steve Sutcliffe finding out what happens when you beat downforce with a cliff.

Sure, the suspended motion is the most spectacular part of such an adventure, but the landing is just as important, at least if you want to be able to use the car afterward.

Since this obviously involves the suspension, we'll take the time to remind you that it's best to leave such stunts to the pros. For one thing, the Ferrari 488's active dampers are not just there to soften the blow, they're also a fine-tuned piece of hardware integrated into the supercar's handling algorithm.

The 458 may have introduced magnetorheological technology, but we've always described the 488's predecessor as a bit too tail happy for its own good. And we weren't the only ones.

Maranello came to the conclusion that the 458 was too much for most drivers to handle. And while the Italian engineers fortunately refrained from making the 488 less drift-ready, the dampers now soften up for a brief moment when the car is at the limit, with the extra body roll generated by this allowing the driver to get a better idea of the car's intentions.

So, let's drop this line again: please, don't attempt such stunts at home.
