Ferrari's latest mid-engined supercar was presented in one of London's fancy venues and guess what: VIPs rallied to see Maranello's Ferrari 488 GTB.

Leaving aside the guest list comprising 1,000 names, Ferrari prepared quite a show as they certainly see potential buyers in London's high-life society. Guests were seated in a track style grandstand and were treated to a performance that included 3D laser mapping and exclusive video footage of the highly anticipated exotic ride.

As if this wasn't enough to stimulate one's senses, a band of percussionists kept the audience entertained by using oil drums as instruments. The acoustic show was backed-up by a laser-light display that finally announced the supercar's reveal.

We got to see the Ferrari 488 GTB at Auto Shanghai 2015, where Ferrari brought the good-looking exotic model to mark its debut on the Asian market. However, there's no point in going on with stating the obvious about how gorgeous the 488 GTB really is.

In addition, there will be even luckier earthlings getting to drive the supercar on a daily basis, not to mention on the race track during random weekend fun sessions. After all, the car can lap the Fiorano circuit in just lap the Fiorano track in just one minute and 23 seconds, providing the steering wheel is controlled by the right hands.

Forty years on from the unveiling of its first ever mid-rear-engine V8 model, the 308 GTB, Ferrari decided it was high time to opened a new chapter in its 8-cylinder history. And they did it with a 3,902 cc (3.9-liter) turbo V8 unleashing 670 HP and 760 Nm (560 lb-ft) of torque. That's enough to secure a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint in just 3 seconds, which should easily tickle the fancy of some - if all - VIPs present at the launch.
