Ferrari 458 Tron Wrap Is a Bit like Porsche's Acid Green

With the Ferrari 458 now sitting in the shade of the 488 GTB, you didn't expect owners of the naturally aspirated Prancing Horse to allow their mid-engined machines to be taken out of the spotlights, did you?

The latest example of a 458 Italia owner who has made efforts for his Ferrari to grab attention sees the supercar being gifted with a Tron wrap.

The wrap job was handled by MM Luxury Custom, a company based on Antibes, France. The eye-catching color scheme sees the car being covered in a hue called Fluo Yellow, while the details come in Black.

However, we can't help but see a slight resemblance between this hue and Porsche's infamous Acid Green. And yes, the day has come for Maranello and Zuffenhausen to be joined in colors - this is what makes this 458 an aftermarket effort that has the potential to be offensive to fans of both camps.

Bold wrap examples aside, the fact that the 488 has taken over comes with a pleasing side effect, namely the fact that 458 prices are dropping, which means more enthusiasts can enjoy the charms of this Ferrari.

The 458 is far from a flawless supercar, but its character makes it a perfect representative of the genre. Whether you drive the Italia fixed-roof mode, the Spider, which feels just as good on the road, or the Speciale that packs Ferrari's last atmospheric V8, you'll get to enjoy the Ferrari DNA at its finest.

Yes, this is the kind of car that can make you fall in love with it to the extent where its downsides become almost invisible. And, to answer a question more and more people ask these days, we'll tell you the 458 works like a precision drifting instrument, should its owner require such a tool. Just make sure you don't aim for unreasonable slip angles.
