The Nurburgring might hold plenty of threats for those who engage in Touristenfahrten (Tourist Days) adventures, but one of the greatest issues comes not from the track, but from other drivers.
Case in point with the Ring clash in the piece of footage at the bottom of the page. We're looking at a track day moment that saw a Ferrari 458 Spider pulling a hit and run moment.
We can see the Ferrari pulling away after sideswiping the camera car and this is where the controversy starts.
Sure, pulling over on the side of the track to discuss the incident would've only made things worse, as such a scenario seriously increases the risk of another crash. But did the driver of the Maranello machine, who seems to be at fault, sort things out after completing his lap? It seems that the answer is "no" and this has sparked a Facebook fight between those who blame the 458 Spider guy and those who side with him.
A Facebook user who claims to have been on the Ring at the time of the incident came to shed some light on the aftermath of the incident: "Ferrari driver said it wasn't his fault and threatened with lawyers and stuff. He drove another round on the track but the driver of the hit vehicle waited until he left the track and confronted him. I was part of the group of people who was there with the driver of the hit vehicle,"
As for how the conflict seems to have ended, a YouTuber claimed to have witnessed a clue towards the end of this story.
"Was at the barrier, the guy was caught by the Marshallsÿ," Ferny ML said in the YouTube comments section of the video.
Oh well, at least the accident didn't lead to any injuries or serious damage for the two machines.
