Ferrari has announced that their mesmerizing 458 Spider will bring you the pleasure of a retractable hard-top for the price of €226,800 if you live somewhere in Europe, with sales to begin next month.
In addition, the US arrival of the drop-top stunner is set for January 2012 (probably meant to coincide with a US debut in Detroit), with prices set at $257,000.
Both these figures are about 15 percent more than the coupe, but this was also the case with the 458’s predecessors.
We’ll remind you that the car uses an aluminum retractable hardtop, which can be opened/closed in just 14 seconds, as well as being 55 lbs (25kg) lighter than a conventional soft-top. The power comes from a 4.5-liter V8 with 570 horsepower on tap.
