Ferrari 458 Speciale HD Wallpapers

As with the 458 Italia and 458 Spider, the Ferrari 458 Speciale is here to push everything up one notch, both visually and mechanically for the almost half a decade old nameplate. And speaking about visuals, here are some shots with it to feast your eyes on in a 1280 x 720 px or in a 1920 x 1080 px form.

Whether you're driving it on the road or hit the track, where this prancing horse was designed to function at its best, you'll feel that it was designed to reach the highest performance levels of any Ferrari V8.

First of all, the mid-rear-mounted 4.5-liter GDI engine is the most powerful naturally aspirated Ferrari 8-cylinder ever developed, boasting 605 hp at 9,000 rpm and 540 Nm at 6,000 rpm. These were achieved by maximizing the engine's combustion efficiency through redesigned intake and exhaust geometry, lower internal friction, increased compression, highly evolved knock control, improved lubrication and more.

Ferrari's new mobile aerodynamic systems have been mounted at the front and rear of the 458 Speciale to ensure the different aerodynamic configurations needed for cornering, where you need downforce, and on straights, where drag must be reduced to a minimum.

The car is also more responsive and uses a new software, called Side Slip Angle Control (SSC), which works when you're in Race or CT Off modes. The new 'nanny' solves the predecessors' habit of going sideways too often by making better use of Ferrari's E-Diff electronically-controlled limited slip differential.

All combined with a slightly reworked interior, sharp response, organic feel and that sweet naturally aspired V8 behind you head, makes the Ferrari 458 Speciale feel exactly as its name suggests. And even though the 458 might seem a bit old you should enjoy its natural aspiration while you can. It's successor might be a turbocharged version.
