At the moment, the track car everybody is talking about is Ferrari’s 458 Speciale. The Prancing Horse is now giving us the opportunity to stop talking and start playing, with the company launching the 458 Speciale configurator.
Many have been waiting for this ever since Ferrari launched the 458 Speciale at the Frankfurt Motor Show last fall - the configurator was already online at the time, but it was only offered to customers.

Moreover, the Italians also polished the 458 Speciale configurator a bit, improving the image quality, while also allowing the users to change the lighting on the supercar.

This may already be a bespoke version of the 458 with a track aroma, but you have plenty of options to go through. This means you should reserve a reasonable amount of time if you are willing to play this Ferrari game.

While we were waiting for the configurator to go online, we took the car for a drive. What we found was an overwhelming level of focus, something that makes the experience truly intense - of course, the slimmer windows, including as the Lexan rear window, also play an important role here.

Ferrari basically upgraded every tech area of the car and the one we were most fond of was the steering. We’ve always found the steering in Ferrari models as nearly perfect, with the only complain being that the setup was a little bit on the light side. Well, in the Speciale they seem to have changed that. Of course, the suspension tweaking also changes the feel of the car a bit, interfering with the results.

Alas, we don’t quite see an actual purpose for this car, but we shall talk about this in our Ferrari 458 Speciale review.
